When I first saw you,
I knew the following days
Would be the happiest days of my life.
The deep connection we shared,
When we first met,
Promises characteristics so alike,
As though we were One.
Each day unfolds as I eagerly await the next with you.

Neither did I expect it to past so soon.
When the last day came,
So did death came.
Oh why, oh why did you turn me away?
Goodbye- a single word that could leave such a deep scar.

Consumed in my drunken sorrow,
Drowning in my tears,
I struggled against the current of devastation.
